Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer is proud to be a NorCal Premier Soccer Club. 

Our teams will play in NorCal Premier Soccer’s leagues which are renowned for their high level of competition, structured development pathways and an ability to play many local clubs without the need for extensive travel.

NorCal Premier Soccer offers flights for every skill level from Copper to NPL and ECNL in our own backyard, ensuring our players are constantly challenged while honing their abilities. Importantly, we do not force teams to play at levels that may be above their skill and ability level.

Our focus on development is further bolstered by participation in several Northern California tournaments, some extending beyond the local region should the team decide they wish to travel that far. College showcases are available for our teams to enter, where the level of play justifies entry, and these are included in the season fee.

To maximize player and team potential, competitive teams benefit from extended training seasons and the expertise of USSF qualified coaches at all age groups.

Players who join Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer will enjoy NorCal league play for Fall and Spring in the Regional League and Youth Premier League. Our NorCal membership also allows for all of our teams to also participate in the prestigious State Cup, with multi-weekend league and tournament play .

NorCal Premier Soccer embraces the right for successful teams to progress to the highest levels by implementing a comprehensive promotion and relegation process. Which makes it possible for many of our teams to gain entry to NPL either in Fall of 2025 or Spring of 2026 as they promote from State Premier and beyond. We love that NPL is an open league where any team, regardless of what club they come from can qualify by earning promotion by finishing in the top 2 spots of the State Premier bracket, or by their State Cup performance. The best leagues around the world use promotion and relegation as it is the only way to ensure that teams are at the appropriate level, and provide a consistently high quality competition. With an integrated promotion and relegation system from State Premier all the way through ECNL RL, NorCal provides a pathway for teams to earn their way to the highest levels of competition available.

It is important to note that relegation also happens within NorCal. Teams that finish in the lower parts of NPL are subject to automatic relegation. A team that performed poorly in the previous NPL season will be relegated for the following season. Full details on NPL promotion and relegation are available on the NorCal website.
